African Digital Entrepreneurs Network

Turning Tomorrow’s Ideas into Businesses for Today - November, 2006

This unique event will bring together African Information and Communication Technology (ICT) entrepreneurs from across the continent, to tackle some of the most interesting service and application opportunities. The event will serve as an eye-opener about what’s possible, what’s inspiring, and enable the entrepreneurs to build these opportunities into new businesses.

Morocco Learning Journey: Profitable Rural Solar (2005)

Origo took a group of leaders attending a UN conference on sustainable development into the field to see first hand how businesses can benefit low-income rural communities. The group spend a day exploring the operations of Temasol, which sells solar power systems in rural Morocco.

Financing Technologies for the Environment (2004)

Origo developed this forum for the Tech Museum of San Jose. The forum lasted one day and brought together more than 60 leaders from business, civil society, academia and government to advance technology-based solutions to critical environmental challenges. One participant commented, " I would have walked 10 miles barefoot across broken glass to attend."

Eradicating Poverty Through Profit (2004)

Origo helped organize this World Resources Institute conference that marked a significant step forward for business that meets both financial and social goals. Convened in San Francisco in 2004, the conference was a brilliant success that helped put the type of business Origo conducts in the forefront of many minds.
